Thomas The Train

Today we went to Thomas the Train up at Heber Valley Railroad. Pete and Kaleb were able to join us and meet us up there. I had been telling Brooklyn about going all week, and although I felt like death worn over, I couldn't not take her and in the end was so glad I did, she had so so much fun. We rode on Thomas, met Sir Topum Hat, played minature golf, read stories, got tatoo's(even daddy got a Thomas tatoo--Brooklyn's request) played with the Trains and took lots and lots of pictures. After we left we went over to a yummy Chinese restaurant(Pete's choice) although my stomache didn't feel up to much, what I did eat was good, and Nate and Brooklyn enjoyed it. It was a fun warm, windy day. And by the end we were ready for a good night sleep.

This Memorial Day was not anything to exciting, we had planned on going camping, but thought we may need to help my dad move, and Nate had volunteered to him Paul and Susan, (Brooklyn's daycare) reroof their house. Then Brooklyn and I both came down with a cold and since it was still getting pretty chilly at night I didn't want Brooklyn to get any sicker, so we decided to stay home. Instead we went fishing, we had lots of fun fishing, playing in the sun, and Brooklyn loved feeding the fishies.

That night we had our own little campfire in our backyard, and made some SMORES. Yummm
Brooklyn does not like the marshmellows after they are cooked she just likes to eat them plain, but she sure does love cooking them for everyone else.

Bye Bye Papa:(

My dad has been staying with us since January and about 7 months prior to that except over the holidays, he was able to go home for a month. Today, he moved into his own place. He was up here from Arizona working, while Josie and Riley finished school in Arizona. Now that they are all finished up, Mary has made the long journey up this way. I am sure he is so happy to be in his own place but, we (especially Brooklyn) are really going to miss him. I have been preparing her for it for the last couple of weeks to let her know that papa wouldn't be there every night or day to play and have dinner. She keeps telling me she doesn't want papa to move so we will see.

JUST BECAUSE

Today while posting some old posts I came upon some pictures I just had to post, not really any significant meaning just thought they were cute and couldn't believe what difference 2 years makes...

R.I.P. Grandpa Hales

Today we went to Nate's Great Grandpa and Brooklyn's Great Great Grandpa Hales funeral. He lived to be 97 years old, and up until the first of this year he lived by himself, was very active and loved to read. He will be dearly missed here on earth, but am sure he is having an amazing reunion with his wife, parents, and all his brothers and sisters.
